Connie Li, Caribbean Honduras

Connie Li is a young woman currently backpacking through Central and South America, who has completely fallen in love with the island of Utila. Originally from Brisbane, Australia; Connie plans on traveling the rest of the world.  Connie Li es una joven mujer mochileando por Centro y Sudamerica quien se ha enamorado completamente de la isla de Utila. Originalmente de Brisbane, Australia; Connie planea en viajar por el resto del mundo.  Initially Connie came to Utila to scuba dive and get her PADI open water certification which consists of three main phases:  Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving,  Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills and  Open Water Dives to put those skills to use. GUANAJA'S CONCH FESTIVAL



Este próximo 22 de Julio Guanaja abre su 10mo Festival del Caracol anual. Un evento muy anticipado por las Islas de la Bahía, presentado por la Cámara Nacional de Turismo de Honduras (CANATURH), La Municipalidad de Guanaja y Marca País Honduras. Este evento celebra el descubrimiento de la isla el 30 de Julio de 1502 por Cristóbal Colón, por eso comienza una semana antes y termina precisamente en esta fecha. 

Este es uno de los festivales en los que los isleños se visten como piratas y disfrutan de comidas tradicionales pasadas por sus ancestros, la música caribeña suena en cada rincón, fiestas de día y de noche, y se recrean sus barcos como barcos piratas.

This next 22nd of July Guanaja opens its 10th annual Conch Festival. A most anticipated event by The Bay Islands hosted by the National Tourism Board of Honduras (CANATURH), The Municipality of Guanaja, and Marca País Honduras. This event celebrates the discovery of the island on the 30th of July 1502 by Christopher Columbus, therefore it begins a week before and ends precisely on this date.

This is one of the festivals where islanders dress as pirates and enjoy of traditional foods passed on by their ancestors, caribbean music plays in each corner, parties all day and night and their boats are recreated into pirate ships. 

The CONCH FESTIVAL is almost here.. Don't miss it!
