LA RUTA DEL CAFÉ | THE COFFEE ROUTE

Honduras es uno de los principales productores de café a nivel mundial obteniendo el primer lugar en mejor calidad en Centroamérica, el segundo en América y el sexto en el mundo. De los dieciocho departamentos del país, quince son productores de café orgánico haciendo que el café sea el primer producto exportado nuestro país. Con motivos de fortalecer la cultura y el turismo interno en Honduras, se creó la RUTA TURÍSTICA DEL CAFÉ. El café se ha convertido en un producto que nos identifica como lo que somos, Hondureños. Cada 1ro de Octubre celebramos a nivel nacional el Día Nacional de la Caficultura el cual es el mismo dia del Dia Internacional del Café. Este dia lleva por lema Todos tenemos derecho a tomar un buen café, pero los hondureños tenemos el compromiso de saber prepararlo.

Nuestro café es cotizado en países de Oceanía, Norte America, Asia y Europa. Esta ruta dura hasta nueve días en los cuales puedes apreciar el proceso de produccion de cafe en 5 regiones cafetaleras las cuales simbolizan las cinco estrellas de nuestro país: Agalta Tropical, Montecillos, Opalaca, Azul Meambar y Copán. Entre los lugares que se visitan en la ruta del café están:

2. Lempira
3. Comayagua
4. Juticalpa
5. La Esperanza
6. Campamento
7. Las Fincas de Guaimaca
8. El Paraíso 

Estos son solo algunos de los tantos lugares en los que se puede apreciar la ruta del café de los muchos que hay. Muchas personas hacen la ruta del café no solamente por conocer el proceso de producción del café, pero por la aventura de escalar montañas, respirar aire fresco, la vista de los pinos, la diversidad de la flora y los paisajes escénicos increíbles.

Honduras is one of the main coffee producers in the world having first place in best quality in Central America, the second in America and the sixth in the world. From the eighteen departments of the country, fifteen are organic coffee producers making coffee the first exported product of our country. With motives of fortifying culture and internal tourism in Honduras, the TOURISTIC COFFEE ROUTE was created. Coffee has became a product that identifies us as what we are, Hondurans. Each 1st of October we celebrate on a national level the National Day of Coffee Culture which is the same day as the International Coffee Day. This day has the theme We all have the right to have a good coffee, but Hondurans have the compromise to know how to prepare it. 

Our coffee is demanded in countries of Oceania, North America, Asia and Europe. This route lasts up to nine days in which you can appreciate the process of coffee production in 5 coffee production regions which symbolize the five stars of our country: Tropical Agala, Montecillos, Opalaca, Blue Meambar and Copán. Some of the places visited in the coffee route are:

These are some of the many places where we can appreciate the coffee route from the many places there are. Many people do the coffee route not only to know the production process of coffee, but for the adventure of climbing mountains, breathing fresh air, the view of the pines, the diversity of the flora and the incredible scenic landscapes.
